Salmo Plus Natural is a signature blend sourced from the Cerrado region in Minas Gerais, Brazil, where some of the finest coffees are grown. This full-bodied, syrupy-sweet coffee is crafted by select smallholders who adhere to TJ’s Coffee Beans’ high-quality standards.
The natural processing method is key to this coffee’s vibrant and rich flavor. Sun-ripened cherries, left on the branch until they reached peak sugar concentration, are carefully dried to absorb the maximum flavor from the fruit. After harvesting, the cherries are mechanically processed, sorted, and laid out on patios, allowing them to soak in the region’s natural sweetness and intensify the bold flavors.
This process produces a cup bursting with syrupy sweetness, chocolatey richness, and ripe fruit undertones. The natural method imparts a smooth, well-rounded body and a slight fruity complexity, perfectly capturing the essence of Brazil’s Cerrado region.
Cerrado is a unique biome, home to 5% of the world’s species, and its coffee-growing potential has only been fully realized in the past 50 years. After a devastating blow to Brazil’s coffee industry in 1975, determined farmers ventured into Cerrado to plant the future of coffee. Today, this region is recognized for its exceptional climate, rich soil, and perfect growing conditions, making it one of the world’s most sought-after coffee origins.
Salmo Plus Natural is the perfect expression of Cerrado’s potential—bold, sweet, and full of character.
